Kettle Chip Crusted Haddock with Greek Yogurt Tarter Sauce

This Kettle Chip Crusted Haddock with Greek Yogurt Tarter Sauce is a quick and delicious dinner that anyone would love!

This easy to make fish only needs 6 ingredients. Flavorful kettle chips add so much flavor and crunch. A little plain greek yogurt and mayo helps the chips stick to the fish while adding moisture. If you have it, chopped chives add a mild oniony flavor. Serve this fish with some homemade lightened up tarter sauce and fish dinner has never been better!

This fish is so good serve on top of fresh crisp greens. The tarter sauce acts like a dressing. It also makes great fish tacos in corn tortillas.

I like to mix up the tarter sauce and the mayo-yogurt mixture for breading the fish the night before. The flavors deepen and blend much better.

Kettle Chip Crusted Haddock
  • 6 (4 to 6 oz) pieces of haddock
  • 1 (8 oz) bag kettle chips (I used salt & vinegar chips cooked in avocado oil), crushed
  • 1 tablespoon plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon light mayo
  • 1 teaspoon chopped chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
  • salt & pepper (optional)
Greek Yogurt Tarter Sauce
Adapted from Martha Stewart
  • 1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons light mayo (or more greek yogurt)
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons finely diced pickle
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
  • salt & pepper, to taste
Preheat the oven to 400 F and grease or line a sheet pan.

In a small bowl, combine the greek yogurt, mayo, and chives. Set aside.

Add the crushed chips to a pie plate and set aside.

Pat the fillets dry with a kitchen towel. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Brush the fish fillets with about 1 teaspoon of the mayo and greek yogurt mixture.

Coat the brushed fish fillets in the crushed chips. Place on the sheet pan. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until the fish flakes apart when tested with a fork. With a spatula, move the fish to a serving platter.

For the tarter sauce, add all the ingredients together in a bowl. Whisk to combine. Serve with fish and enjoy!
