Honey Lemon Glazed Asparagus

Simple but unique, these Honey Lemon Glazed Asparagus are sure to become a favorite!

These easy to make asparagus are a great way to eat fresh veggies. The honey lemon glaze is full of sweet and tangy flavor. I love to make these asparagus on my grill pan but you can use a simple non-stick skillet for easy clean up. A traditional cast iron skillet works perfectly fine as well.

If your family doesn't like asparagus, these might change their mind. Otherwise, haricot verts (or green beans) work great with this glaze as well.

Honey Lemon Glazed Asparagus
  • 1 pound asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar (or balsamic vinegar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • red pepper flakes, to taste (optional)
  • salt & pepper, to taste
Bring a pot of water up to a boil. Add asparagus and cook for about 3 minutes, or until slightly tender. Drain and pat dry.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk the honey, olive oil, lemon juice, vinegar, and worcestershire until combined.

Heat a grill pan over medium high heat. Add asparagus and brush with glaze. Cook for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until charred lightly. Flip and glaze again and cook another 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from grill pan and move to a plate. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy!
