Citrus Peel Multipurpose Cleaner

This Citrus Peel Multipurpose Cleaner is very easy to make and is a great way to use something you'd normally throw away. You need to be a little patient but it's worth it in the end. You'll be saving all your citrus peels for this cleaner.

This cleaner is great for glass, counter tops, fridge doors...

This cleaner has a light aroma making it perfect for those with sensitivities to strong smells. The secret to the light smell is to soak the orange peels in white vinegar. I soak mine for about 3 weeks in a old peanut butter jar on my windowsill. This softens the harsh white vinegar smell. There is baking soda in the recipe as well. Of course, when mixing baking soda and vinegar, it bubbles up. To help control this, I have a few steps I follow
  • Add baking soda first
  • slowly add strained vinegar
  • swirl the bottle slowly to help calm the bubbling
  • do not add any more ingredients until bubbling has stopped
Doing these steps have helped me from having a explosion all over my kitchen. Of course, mixing this up outside is the best idea, just in case.

After settling, add dish soap and warm water to fill up the bottle.
