Honey Glazed Salmon with Brown Butter Lime Sauce

Healthy and full of flavor, this Honey Glazed Salmon with Brown Butter Lime Sauce is delicious and easy!

Salmon is one of the most healthiest foods you can eat. The flavor of the salmon stands up perfectly to strong flavors without being overpowered. Honey and lime is a classic and delicious combination. Like most seafood recipes, this dish comes together quickly.

I love to serve this salmon over spinach and leftover cold Roasted Lemony Spiralized Vegetables. The brown butter lime sauce acts like a dressing to the whole dish and works perfectly.

Honey Glazed Salmon
  • 4 boneless, skinless salmon filets (about 4 to 6 oz)
  • 8 teaspoons flour
  • 8 teaspoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 2 limes, zested
Brown Butter Lime Sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
Lay the salmon filets on a cutting board and pat dry lightly, on both sides, with paper towel. Season lightly with salt and pepper and sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of flour on each side of the salmon. Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey over each side of the salmon filets. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Put salmon filets in the pan and cook about 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking, and browned.

Meanwhile, in another skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook the butter until browned and has a toasty smell, about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and carefully add honey, garlic, lime juice, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

To serve, pour the brown butter sauce over the salmon and sprinkle with lime zest.
