Grain Free Peanut Butter Dog Treats

Only three ingredients needed (coconut flour, peanut butter + a egg), these Grain Free Peanut Butter Dog Treats are super quick to make!

That plate of treats on the ground got eaten one second after that picture was taken! Thelma and Macy loved them!
Thankfully, our dogs don't have a grain intolerance or allergies but Thelma isn't supposed to eat too many of them. For her, foods and treats, like these, are supposed to have healthy fats and superfoods in them to keep her healthy and immune system strong. The peanut butter and coconut smell so good that Macy & Thelma can't resist them!

Of course, always, always ask your vet before giving your dog a new treat. Especially if it has ingredients in it your dog hasn't tried before! Just like people, some dogs can't have certain ingredients and your vet may have a different opinion of pet nutrition than my vet does.

Grain Free Peanut Butter Dog Treats
Makes about 16 treats (1/2 tablespoon)
Recipe Source K9 Instinct
  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup natural peanut butter (I used crunchy)
  • 1 egg
Preheat oven to 375 F

In a bowl, combine all ingredients.

Scoop dough onto a ungreased cookie sheet by the 1/2 tablespoon. Press, with a flat-bottomed glass, onto the top of the dough ball. About 1/4 inch thick.

Bake 10 minutes or until crisped around the edges. You may add more or less time to get a softer/crunchier dog treat.

Please consult your vet before adding anything new to your dog's diet and any possible allergies your dog might have.
These treats have been approved by my vet but please use your own vet's guidance in regards to your pet.
