Matcha Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

Healthy and easy, this Matcha Pineapple Ginger Smoothie is so good and a perfect wake up call!

If you like green tea, you will love this smoothie. The ginger and matcha are complimented perfectly by the pineapple and cucumber. It has a very light and clean taste that isn't overwhelming or heavy.

Matcha is a tasty superfood. Wellness Mama has a wonderful article about matcha and all there is to know. Just a few advantages of matcha include
  1. Energy Booster
  2. Lots of Antioxidants
  3. Calming Effect
  4. Healthy Heart
  5. Boosts Metabolism
  6. Healthy Skin
  7. Better Focus
Coconut water and freshly squeezed orange juice taste great with this smoothie. It adds a tropical smoothie feel, just like in my Tropical Green Pea Smoothie.

Matcha Pineapple Ginger Smoothie
Serves 1 to 2
  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  • 1/2 a medium cucumber
  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • small handful baby spinach
  • 1 cup liquid (freshly squeezed orange juice, almond milk, and coconut water all work great with this smoothie)
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder, or to taste
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger, or to taste
Add all ingredients to a blender.

Blend until smooth, on high.

Pour into a glass or two and serve. Enjoy!
