Crispy Roasted Kale {Kale Chips}

Crispy and salty, Crispy Roasted Kale is a perfect, healthy side dish!

Simple side dishes, like this kale, are easy to keep on hand. It goes with almost every dish and takes just a few ingredients - kale, cooking spray, and spices. If you keep the kale torn and washed in your fridge, it's even easier to make a quick batch for lunch or dinner. Just spin it in your salad spinner then continue on.

I go grocery shopping every two weeks. Of course, because of this, I have to be creative on how to keep produce fresh. Kale lasts pretty long in the fridge, compared to other greens. However, I want it to stay crisp. I have several produce keepers in my fridge that house lettuce, kale, berries... Any produce I buy that trip will usually go in a produce saver. Of course, things like beets, turnips, and apples are just put in a basket in my fridge.

Crispy Roasted Kale {Kale Chips}
  • kale, torn, washed, & dried
  • cooking spray
  • salt, pepper, garlic powder, seasoning salt... (whatever seasoning and spices you'd like)
Preheat the oven to 300 F

Spray a sheet pan lightly with cooking spray. Arrange the kale into a even layer. Make sure the kale pieces aren't touching.

Lightly spritz the top of the kale with cooking spray. Sprinkle with seasoning to taste.

Bake for 18 to 24 minutes, or until crispy to touch. Allow to cool for a minute or two to crisp up further before moving to a serving platter. Enjoy!
