Blueberry Almond Mocha Smoothie

Get your coffee fix in this Blueberry Almond Mocha Smoothie!

Keep this smoothie as simple or as complex as you want. What I mean by that is if you like to add all the healthy add-ins like hemp hearts, chia seeds, flax seeds, bee pollen... go ahead and toss them in. Even powders, such as maca, collagen, and your favorite everyday protein mix, blend in easily. The blueberry, almond, and mocha flavors will mask pretty much any earthy flavor that is thrown in with 'em. However, even if you keep with the basic ingredients, you'll have a delicious, healthy smoothie!

  Blueberry Almond Mocha Smoothie
Makes about 16 oz
  • 2 heaping cups chopped kale/spinach, frozen
  • 1/2 very ripe banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup blueberries, frozen
  • 1/2 to 1 cup water or almond milk
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup cold brewed coffee (or cooled, leftover coffee)
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • sweetener to taste (optional)
Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on high until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
