Pumpkin Coconut Oil Dog Treats

Coconut oil has many benefits for dogs
  • it can help make their coat smooth, soft, and looking it's best
  • it can help soothe skin conditions such as dry skin and itching
  • it can help increase energy
  • it is great for dogs with bad breath
...and many more benefits

Start with about 1/4 teaspoon for small dogs and 1 teaspoon for large dogs to see how your dog reacts, building up to about 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds. Make sure to start small and work your way up to avoid stomach problems for your dog.

Pumpkin Coconut Oil Dog Treats
Makes 10-12 Dog Treats
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup unrefined coconut oil, melted
  • 1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree
In a bowl, combine melted coconut oil, pumpkin puree, and cinnamon. It may look separated, but keep mixing until smooth. You may need a electric hand mixer to combine smoothly.

Pour mixture into a ice cube tray and freeze until solid.

Remove from ice cube tray and store in a jar in the refrigerator or freezer for about 1 week.

Please consult your vet before adding anything new to your dog's diet and any possible allergies your dog might have.
These treats have been approved by my vet but please use your own vet's guidance in regards to your pet.

Do not give your dog nutmeg.
