Apple Cider Pork Roast with Gravy (Slow Cooker)

This pork roast is so easy to make. Just throw your ingredients in the slow cooker and cook all day. Then at dinner, make a simple gravy and the pork roast is ready to eat.

This Apple Cider Pork Roast with Gravy is so delicious and a perfect dinner for Fall! I make it year round when I can find or make some apple cider. Hard apple cider would be a good substitute as well for a different flavor.

After the roast is cooked, I make a delicious "blender" gravy with the juices from the roast and a couple extra ingredients to make a perfect compliment to the pork.

You will love this pork roast!

Apple Cider Pork Roast with Gravy
serves 4-6
  • 1- 2 to 3 pound boneless pork roast
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 large onion, diced
  • 1 apple, large diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch

Line slow cooker with liner, optional

Season roast on all sides with salt and pepper. Place in slow cooker.

Arrange onions and apples around roast, not on top. Pour apple cider around roast and sprinkle apples and onions with rosemary.

Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours,or until tender.

After meat is tender, remove from slow cooker. Set aside to rest.

Spoon out the fat from the juices in the slow cooker and throw away. CAREFULLY transfer juices and apples/onions to a blender. Cover lid with a kitchen towel and blend until smooth. Pulsing at first to help avoid splatters. You may do this in batches to avoid burns! Add corn starch and blend until smooth. Put gravy back into slow cooker, on high, until thick. You may also put gravy into a saucepan and cook over medium until thick, 2-3 minutes.

Pull pork roast into pieces with two forks or a tong. Serve with gravy
