Sweet and tangy, this Strawberry Limeade {Honey Sweetened} is perfect for all those Summer BBQ's!
The timeless combination of honey and lime goes perfectly with sweet strawberries. Serve cold, and this drink is pretty perfect!
Lemons, of course, can be substituted for the limes for a strawberry lemonade. If you don't like or can't have honey, white granulated sugar can be substituted 1:1 for up to 1 cup honey. Raspberries are delicious with this recipe too.
Strawberry Limeade {Honey Sweetened}
- 3/4 to 1 cup honey
- 1 to 1 1/4 cups lime juice
- 5 to 6 cups cold water, divided
- 1 (1 lb) package whole strawberries (stemmed and hulled)
In a large blender, add strawberries, honey, and 3 to 4 cups water. (I have a very large blender, so I add all 5 to 6 cups.) Blend until smooth and honey is dissolved. Strain into a pitcher. Add lime juice and remaining water. Stir to combine and taste for sweetness and tartness. Chill for at least two hours, or until cold. Serve over ice and enjoy!
