Lemon Blueberry Smoothie with Spinach

Healthy and refreshing, this Lemon Blueberry Smoothie with Spinach is perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Smoothies are a wonderful way to get all sorts of nutrients in our bodies. I tend to try to cram as many healthy foods as possible in to all my smoothies while keeping a sweet, refreshing taste. Superfoods such as blueberries, spinach, hemp hearts, and cinnamon are combined with just a few other ingredients to create a smoothie that could easily be dessert.

This smoothie in particular is great for kiddos or those who don't like drinking a green colored smoothie. The deep purple color is gorgeous from the blueberries.

Hemp hearts are easily found in baking isles or health food isles, next to the chia seeds, in grocery stores. Your local health food store is sure to have them as well. They're extremely versatile and pretty much tasteless. I add them to wraps by combining them with mashed avocado, mix some into baked goods, or add some to our favorite smoothies. These little seeds are a great way to promote heart health.
